DIY | Burlap Table Numbers

This easy DIY table number project is the result of me being in product heaven at Michaels. I was wondering the aisles like I normally do, and first saw these gorgeous, stretched burlap canvases – in the basket they went! Didn’t know what I would use them for but I had to have them. Then I came across the beautiful new Heidi Swapp display, I picked up a few things including the color shine below. It’s like paint + ink… not thick like paint, more like thin liquid ink – it’s so fun! After playing with the color shine, I knew those burlap canvases would make the perfect palette! So without further ado, here are my painted burlap table numbers… which would be perfect for any rustic or shabby chic wedding!

 SUPPLIES:
  • 6″ x 6″ stretched burlap canvases
  • wooden numbers (or the like)
  • Heidi Swap Color Shine (ours are Mint and Navy)
This project is simple but packs a major ‘cute’ punch. Place each number onto the burlap…
Then spritz with the color spray, as heavy or as light as you want. I chose to do it heavier on the right side, fading off on the left. I did about 10-12 sprays total.
Quickly remove the number stencil and you’re left with a perfect table number outline! These need to dry for 24 hours.
These color shine sprays are so awesome, such a unique twist on painting… and could have so many uses for your wedding. From these table numbers, to escort cards, other stationary and anything else you’d like to tie in with a little spritz!
The perfect addition to any rustic or shabby chic wedding!
